SWEET RICE (PONGAL)


By Reading the name itself my salaiva is secreting more.it is very famous in south side of India.it is a delicious sweet with cashews ,almonds and dried grapes.The procedure to make this is very simple.
warning:fatty people dont see the picture itself bec it will tempt u to have.

INGREDIENTS
rice 1 cup
moong dhal 2 spoons
water 3 cups
jaggery 2 cups

PROCEDURE
STEP 1: Add rice and moong dhal together,add three cups of water and pressure cook for 4 or 5 whistles.
STEP 2: In half cup of water dissolve jaggery and strain without mud.Boil it till the raw smell goes away.
STEP 3: Take out the rice and mash it well and add it to the jaggerymix well and stir it in a low flame.
STEP 4: Add ghee how much ever as your wish.Now fry cashews,almonds ,cardamom,dried grapes in ghee.
STEP 5: Put all these in the pongal.it gives a good fragrance.Now your yummy delicious sweet rice( pongal) is ready.serve it hot
